He may be 71-years-old, but Nick Nolte is still a kid at heart!

The Thin Red Line actor spent September 3 bonding with Sophie, his 5-year-old daughter with partner Clytie Lane, during the 31st Annual Malibu Kiwanis Chili Cook Off, Carnival and Fair in California.

At one point, the daddy-daughter duo were spotted whizzing around the bumper car track. Sophie, clutching her plush Hello Kitty toy, laughed and cheered as her father took charge of the steering wheel.

Nolte — whose ex-wives include Sheila Page, Sharyn Haddad and Rebecca Linger — was later seen enjoying a hot bowl of chili. By day’s end, the 48 Hrs. star left with a large teddy bear holding a heart that read, “I Love You.”

The three-time Academy Award nominee is also father to actor Brawley Nolte, 26 (from his marriage to Linger).

The actor and his adorable little girl weren’t the only stars who attended the annual event: Supernatural actor Jensen Ackles, 34, and his wife of two years, Friends With Benefits actress Danneel Harris, 33, were photographed walking hand-in-hand on the grounds two days earlier.

Nolte next appears in the movie Gangster Squad, costarring Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Seann Penn, Emma Stone, Anthony Mackie, Giovanni Ribisi and Michael Pena.
