Live from Long Island, it’s Sunday afternoon! Some of the biggest stars of Saturday Night Live recently got together away from the bright lights of New York City, spending a family-focused day with all of their kids on a group playdate. 

Tina Fey dished on the adorable encounter when she stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

“This summer I spent the whole summer shooting a movie with Amy [Poehler] out in Bethpage, Long Island — a movie called The Nest,” Fey, 44, said to set the scene.

“Maya [Rudolph] was out there as well, and you guys had full broods,” Seth Meyers, 40, prompted. “You had all the kids!”

“It was actually so lovely, because Maya and Amy live in L.A. most of the year… [costar Rachel] Dratch and I live here,” Fey added. “While we were making this movie, our kids all got to play with each other, which was like, the best little rascals. Just the cutest.”

“It’s very easy to pick out — you know exactly which SNL mom the kids belong to,” Meyers said. Fey is the mother to daughter Alice, 9, and daughter Penelope, 3, Dratch has son Eli, 4, Poehler and her former husband Will Arnett have son Archie, 5, and son Abel, 4, and Rudolph has four children: daughter Pearl, 8, daughter Lucille, 4, son Jack, 3, and daughter Minnie, 13 months.  

“[There’s] like big Poehler-Arnett face, and then Eli Dratch is like that big,” Fey agreed, cupping her hands together to show a tiny size reminiscent of Eli’s slight, 5’0″ tall mother. “Then like, four Mayas… the Mayas are so cool. Mine are just two, like, floating eyebrows.”

Fey also reminisced with Meyers about their time on Long Island, as he came out to visit his former SNL costars. “Some dear friends of ours came and took us all out to dinner — Seth came out and drove to Long Island!” she exclaimed.

“It was really fun!” Meyers said. “It’s you, it’s Poehler, Dratch was there, Paula Pell, who wrote [The Nest], Ike Barinholtz. Mike Shoemaker and I drove up and we had the best time because, by the time we got out there, it felt like you were almost a mafia family that ran that town. We went to a restaurant and they had a back room and they were like, ‘Please, please, Ms. Fey, please.'”
